Pierre’s Paws is dedicated to improving the lives of dogs suffering from Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD). Our mission is to provide financial assistance to families facing the challenges and costs associated with this debilitating condition.

our story
Pierre was our beloved French Bulldog who was diagnosed with IVDD at the age of five. In 2019 on Christmas Eve, Pierre was taken to an emergency vet after being in obvious and audible pain, where he was diagnosed with IVDD. Despite weeks of crate restriction and limited movement, the pain persisted, leading to a difficult decision involving surgery – a surgery that would end up giving Pierre five more playful years of life.

The decision to proceed with IVDD surgery may seem like an easy one, but it is one that comes with significant financial costs and commitment to post-surgery treatment and care. Having gone through this experience herself, Amanda made it her goal to help others facing similar situations. After Pierre’s passing in 2024, Amanda was further inspired to create Pierre’s Paws to assist families in need.
what we do
Pierre’s Paws raises money to gift to families in need of dogs undergoing IVDD surgery and post-op care. Funds are used for assisting with the costs of all aspects of veterinary care, including surgeries, medications, and rehabilitation therapies.

To apply for financial assistance, please complete our application form. This simple process requires you to provide basic information about your dog’s condition, veterinary costs, and suggested plan of care. Once we receive your application, our team will review it carefully and determine your eligibility for support. If approved, we will work with you to coordinate the disbursement of funds to cover eligible expenses.
